Woodburner
MrL got this installed at the weekend - it sits in the fireplace nicely, and has a proper plate on the front to take a kettle for tea etc. It's very nice, and will keep us warm, but I'll still miss my open "real" fire!
We have a woodburner and I wouldn't swap it for anything, in fact if we ever move house I would hope to move to another log burner house! It looks lovely in your home, enjoy!
I was sad also when we gave up the open fire for the multi fuel stove, but you will notice a big difference in the warmth of the room now theres no huge gaping hole (chimney) sucking up all your heat!!!
My parents installed a Morso Squirrel into the utillity room, to dry off clothing. It may only be the size of a matchbox, but provides so much heat, when on it's too hot to sit in there. You'll be warm this winter.
It looks lovely and so sweet in that area.
