New chick

Here's a picture of our first chick that's hatched out; hoping for a few more, as Barbara is sitting pretty tight on the rest of the eggs; this was taken when she nipped out for a drink and a bite to eat.

    How precious!

    We decided to get into chickens once again and so I had to order mine. They arrived on Tuesday -- 25 of them.

    I had 5 hatch in the end across Saturday and Sunday - already all out in their run with Mama. No idea on M/F mix as I can't catch the little blighters without a chainmail glove to fend off aforementioned Mama! They are cute though!

    aw Sarah! Thats what my new Flora looked like when she hatched, really similiar markings. Heres hoping yours is a girl too!
