I like to decorate the front door too at Christmas, but try and have something other than a traditional holly wreath, just for something a bit different. This is this year's offering - a simple twig star with mistletoe, looks pretty.
Here's the mantlepiece in all its finery; I like the natural holly and ivy for here at this time of year, with plenty of candles - these are the recycled ones I posted about a wee while ago.
I love that twig star!!!! Gorgeous! I'm yet to find some mistletoe I can reach. I've managed to collect the other greenery though.

ReplyDeleteHen, I didn't make the stars, I got them at the tip (aka recycling centre LOL) last year for a few pennies. They would be fairly simple to make, though. I bought the mistletoe, but it is local - I ain't built for shinning up trees in winter LOL :)
I am so envious of your fresh ivy and mistletoe -I must be content with just evergreen boughs -Balsalm and pine being my favourites
