Another Tesco disgrace

I make no secret of the very low regard I hold  Tesco in - this is an utter disgrace.

People to work for them for JSA + expenses. JSA is to help folk find work, not get cheap labour for multinational  morally corrupt organisations like theirs.

Banana and blueberry tea loaf

I made this yesterday and it's really, really nice; not sweet, and nice with a bit of butter as a proper tea loaf rather than a cake. Also a good way of using up squishy bananas




8oz SR flour

3oz butter

3oz sugar

1 egg

3 or so ripe bananas

approx 4 oz blueberries



Cream butter and sugar, add egg, beat well. Add in mashed bananas, then blueberries, mix well and add flour. Mix will seem a bit stiffer than cake mix. Turn into a prepared loaf tin and bake in a hot oven until risen and golden brown. Cool on wire rack.

Little knitteds

Usually got some cloth or other on the needles for between bigger projects; I finished these two in the last couple of days

Used to be a 50 p skirt from the charity shop; I loved the colours. Torn into thin strips and knitted in the round, with a crochet base. No idea what I'll put in it, but it's pretty

No-one is silent, though many are not heard

Inspiration is everywhere...........

I have just dealt with 5 brace of pheasant and 1 of partridge; the kitchne is covered in wee flying feathers and the dog is going nuts lol
Pheasants are among the most beautifully feathered birds in the world, and I took a couple of pics to keep for inspiration for future projects:

These pics  for me are reminiscent of a van Gogh painting............ the colours are striking. You just have to look. :)
