The Albertine was a tiny wee, weak, straggly scrap of a rose when we moved in, struggling sort of along what was left of the front fence! I cut it very hard back, fed it well, and this year it has produced dozens of blooms. The others I planted since we moved in. I use the petals in various ways, also the rosehips for wine and hedgerow jellies etc.
