St Andrew's Day


Needless to say, not much happening in England, but I did cook a special supper for today. I made braised pheasant in a whisky and apple gravy, served with skirlie and clapshot


Pudding was the wonderful clootie dumpling

Thanks for this....my Scottish husband waxes lyrical about Clooty dumpling. the family lost the formula and ones I have tried are rejected as inferior. I shall try this one.
