Where's it going?
Just over half way through the month, seems to be going fast, hurtling towards spring..........chilly and windy, dull and overcast hare this morning, might be mizzling too. Forecast for weekend is dry at least, though. Celebrated St Valentine's day with OTT card, expensive chocolates, take-away curry and a new mattress!! usual Friday goings on here today, and really must get on with some neglected housework. Having given my intention to stand down from teh ahll commitee, that will take a lot of work and responsibility away, so should have more time for home things. Still umming and ahing about the Parish Council, though, needs more thought. I really want to get on of house and garden by the spring, but not sure if that would be possible for anyone, let alone me, bad housewife that I am. Ah well, more tea.

Peaceful.............
I have the house to myself for now; Bean has gone into town on the bus (first time by herself), and EJ is off round the lanes on his bike, so I'm eating cheesecake and skiving on the computer............Have done a bit this morning, though! Such a beautiful day out there, I hope to get out for a bit later on. Bed made, soap on the go (waiting to trace), eggs boiling, washing in and out and away. Hoping to get the marmalade under way and clean the bathroom too, then the walls in EJ's room prior to painting it this week.
My books arrived from the wonderful Aphrohead books - Distributis perspectives (essays on the economics of justice and charity) and Do Good Lives Have to Cost the Earth by Andrew Simms and Joe Smith. Looking forward to them both, it's all Tom Hodgkinson's fault :0)

Sunny again.........

..........makes a world of difference. Hot chocolate and blueberry pancakes for breakfast this morning, just about to hang out the washing; done some knitting and bits on the net, failed miserably to get hold of the engineer to look at the village hall heating which seems to ahve gone belly-up. Ah well - looking forward to a trip to the tip this afternoon - wonder what treasures await me today?

More excitements

I noticed a big white delivery van outside, so took a look as I'm expecting a couple of mattresses tob e delivered soon. Phone rang, it was the man in the van wondering where I was, and in which house - I said look out your window and you'll see me waving. He laughed, then delivered by long-awaited seed potato order rather than the mattresses :0) Will post about them on Garden in the Vale. EJ's emo duvet covers arrived too, so the house is covered in stuff needing things done to it. Again. Ah well, tea first :0)
Here's the postcard I was sent..............
Getting the post
